About

Girl Pots is the studio practice of Sasha Polonko, a ceramic artist focused on wheel-thrown functional pottery. Each piece is made with close attention to form, balance, and the quiet details that emerge through repetition and long-term engagement with the material.
The wheel is central to Sasha’s process. Throwing is a rhythmic, physical practice, one that requires patience, restraint, and responsiveness. Through sustained repetition, forms are refined over time, allowing proportion, gesture, and material character to guide the work rather than force it.
Much of the work is fired atmospherically, embracing surfaces shaped by flame, ash, and chance. These marks are not decorative but earned, records of process, heat, and time. Every piece is intended to be used, held, and lived with, carrying both durability and presence into everyday life.
Girl Pots is rooted in the belief that functional objects can hold meaning, care, and intention. Each pot is made slowly, thoughtfully, and by hand, with the hope that it becomes part of your rituals and long-term use.
